I'm not sure about Tivo, but it wouldn't surprise me if it wasn't a marriage made in heaven. I'm sure you have to change the channels via the IR type stuff, but the original Tivos had to do that anyway.

Yesterday was the first day that I got to actually watch the FIOS TV stuff. So far, so good. I did get their DVR as well, and it works fine. Unfortunately, only an 80GB hard drive, so it can't store much. My DirecTV DVR has 250GB of disk, and that sometimes feels a little small to me, given how our travel schedule. ;-)

As for the BBQ, we really need to get it on the schedule, before the snow sets in! :-)

Re: Verizon FIOS TV

Im still waiting for FIOS TV in my area. They already have Internet but I wont switch until both are available. For me, Im just happy to ditch the cable company (Cablevision). The only worry I have though is that I hear that FIOS wont work with TiVO. That would be a bummer. I'll be interested to hear how things work out for you... hoping to have that BBQ soon as well. ;)

Re: Verizon FIOS TV

Indeed. The beginnings of this blog were mostly about me sharing my tech frustrations. It has evolved, and I've also had less tech frustrations (sort of), since I upgraded my server, but every once in a while, I get a doozy, and have to share it. ;-)

Re: Verizon FIOS TV

I think you have to be a techy to understand your post today :)
