Random Madness

Started by hadar · 1 year ago

I’ve written a number of times regarding my frustration at the apparent randomness of many computer programs/processes. In some cases, it’s simply not explainable (from the user’s perspective). In some cases, it almost feels rigged, but then something ... Continue reading »

  • It is normal that everyone likes a kind of music. As far I’m concerned, I do love to listen to different kinds of music but I have a special love for country music. I do attend concerts of great artists such as Kenny Chesney. And, certainly there are thousands who loves this artist and this kind of music in general. Chesney’s popularity is noticeable in concerts. Great numbers of people attend and a lot doesn’t have the chance because tickets become pricy. Lately, I discovered a site to compare ticket prices this way I can look for the best offered prices:

  • Wow, that link was exactly what I was looking for... I just heard that Kenny Chesney's playing a concert in Raleigh, but I thought it would be too expensive; the link posted in the last comment has prices $15 cheaper than I had seen before. I still think $120 is too much to charge for 2 people to sit on the grass, but it's better than $150 for sure. Thanks!
And Hadar, that's certainly a weird thing about the tickets, but I'm happy you guys will get to go to the concert after all! It sounds like it'll be a lot of fun, and I'll look forward to your review :)
  • Cool! Interestingly enough, I consider the comment above yours to be on the "spammish" side. If it had come in to me before I switched to Disqus, I wouldn't have approved it. I realize that it was written by a human, who at least had the courtesy to attach it to a post that was related to the specific artist he was promoting, but it's really a "commercial" comment.

I decided not to delete it after the fact, just because it was at least "on point". Now I'm very glad I left it up, and that it helped you out! :-)

We're heading to another concert tonight, which I'll write about tomorrow morning. ;-)
