You have an interesting website. You really get around. I just thought that I would add that I saw the David Bromberg Band in Red Bank this past Friday (2/22/08). It was a great show. I prefer him with the horn section than without. I thought your comments about his guitar playing were very accurate. I have seen him about five times in the last few years. I am not so crazy abolut the Angel Band. Good harmonies, just not to my liking.

When you say you tried to log in, to my site directly, or to the Disqus commenting system (which is not run by me, it's an outside service that I use to drive the commenting on this site)?

I am not sure I allow people to create their own accounts on my system, and if I do (by some WordPress default), then that might be screwed up by my use of an OpenID plugin. That one didn't like https in the OpenID URL in past incarnations.

If it's Disqus, that's a different matter, and might involve registering for an account in a separate step.

In any event, thanks for sharing your experience from Friday night!

Here's an irony for you. David Bromberg and the Angel Band are playing tonight at the Birchmere Theater in Alexandria, VA. We drove down today from NY to VA. On the way down, we passed Alexandria. I mentioned to my wife that we could have timed the ride to catch David, but that I didn't really care enough. She didn't either...

Angel Band, as you reported, has a new CD coming out in May. It's called With Roots & Wings and will be available on 5/27. And - for the sake of full disclosure - I am trying to help spread the word about the record with the band.
