We are friends for so many years, and I know of your many talents and accomplishments, and your amazing humanity; but had forgotten details of the parents who shaped and moulded you. Now, it all makes sense. Thank you for sharing this memorable story of your Dad, which was so appropriate for Father's Day.
I, too, had a kind and caring Dad who was a model for me when I selected Tapas--just as you had a model for compassion and passion about social issues when you selected Lois.
Tapas and I send love to you both and hope to see you soon.

Hello, Hadar,
Arlene forwarded your deeply meaningful writing about your "great dad" a "great man". I loved every word. I had a "great dad", a "great man": bar mitzvahed 'underground' in Latvia, fought in WWII, and worked harder than most people as an incredibly devoted son, husband, and father. He was the most honest and truly good person I have ever known in my life, and will probably ever know.
I'm glad I have this, YOUR opportunity, to express a miniscule part of my thoughts. Thank you. You are quite fortunate, as I am.

I'm overwhelmed by the beautiful thought that as a son you undertook to 'share' your very special father with the rest of us. By putting into words his incredible story you honor him in so many ways. Dear Hadar,

Your article about your father is extraordinary. I knew something about your background, but this gives such insight into your father and also your growing up years under your father's influence. What a wonderful man.

I also saw some paralles to my own father, also an academician, and committed to total integrity in all he did, including his research.
